With snowfall overnight the ski area is preparing for an opening on Sunday 24th December.
Snow has arrived in Yuzawa!
More snow is the way over the coming weekend, which also happens to be when NASPA Ski Garden plans to open for the 2021-2022 winter season.
This winter NASPA is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary. We hope to see some of you this coming winter.
For those of you unable to visit us just yet - stay safe, and we of course look forward to the day when we can welcome you again… hopefully in the near future.
We enjoyed some beautiful blue skies yesterday morning as you can see on this photo. This season we have received a large amount of snow in December and January. Lets hope that regular snowfall continues through this month and into March.
NASPA Ski Garden is open every day. When you arrive there is a simple temperature check, and we ask that face coverings be worn as we all try to help with the coronavirus sitatuation. Currently all courses at the ski area are available on weekends and all courses apart from C are open on weekdays.
If you are able to visit, we look forward to welcoming you with friendly faces! If you are unfortunately not able to visit us right now, we are looking forward to the day when we will see you again.
While there is some fresh snowfall forecast for Yuzawa this coming week, taking into consideration the wider forecast and continued generally milder forecast temperatures, NASPA Ski Garden has announced that it will be closing for the current season at the end of the day on Tuesday 10th March 2020.
We realise that this will be a disappointment for many people but considering the safe enjoyment of snow and what are acceptable conditions, we feel that this is a necessary decision. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Exciting news!
The 2019-2020 winter season is six months away but from today our winter season plans are available.
This year we once again offer a good choice of packages to suit various needs.
You can choose from packages including a top grade restaurant dinner in the hotel, or just a room charge. There are even plans that include ski and wear rental so you can just turn up without needing to bring your own gear!
All of the new plans include unlimited skiing at NASPA Ski Garden.
NASPA Ski Garden is now closed but there is still plenty of snow left on the mountains.
A few nearby ski resorts remain open - as of 14th April, Kandatsu Kogen, GALA Yuzawa and Kagura are open.
We have added a few special spring ski plans and they can be found here:
(Below is an image from GALA Yuzawa today).
The last 4 days has seen a very large amount of snow fall in Yuzawa and on the slopes of NASPA Ski Garden.
It means we can end the year and start 2019 with some excellent snow conditions and the ski hill full open.
We wish you all a very happy new year and hope to see you at NASPA soon.
NASPA Ski Garden will open from tomorrow morning, Friday 21st December.
7 Courses (all apart from Course D) are scheduled to be open.
